How to Add a Calendar
- Navigate to Setup > Calendars.
- Click Add calendar. A dialog appears with fields for name, workdays, week start day, working day start time, and working day end time.
- Fill in the desired values and click Add. The new calendar appears in the list with the default name Calendar project.
- Rename the calendar as needed by double-clicking on it.
How to Edit a Calendar
- Navigate to Setup > Calendars.
- Double-click the calendar you want to edit. The Edit Calendar panel opens.
- Update the name and click Update to apply the change.
- To change workdays, click Edit Workdays, select the desired days, and click Update. Active workdays are shown with filled blue icons; deselected days appear transparent.
- To change the week start day, select a new day from the dropdown and click Update. The schedule view will reflect the new week start.
- To adjust working hours, update the working day start time and end time fields and click Update. Task durations in the schedule will adjust accordingly.
Tip: To see how calendar changes affect your schedule, go to Scheduling > Takt Time and enable Show Non-Working Time and Show Non-Workdays.
How to Delete a Calendar
- Navigate to Setup > Calendars.
- Right-click the calendar you want to delete and select Delete Calendar.
Note: You cannot delete the default calendar or a calendar that is currently assigned to a task. Make sure the calendar is not in use before deleting it.
How to Import a Calendar
- Navigate to Setup > Calendars.
- Click Import Calendar. The Import calendar dialog appears.
- Select the organization you want to import from.
- Select the project.
- Select the schedule.
- Select the calendar you want to import.
- Click Import. The calendar is added to your list, including its name, workdays, working hours, holidays, and week start day.
Tip: After importing, you can edit or delete the calendar the same way as any other calendar. You can also assign it to a task via Scheduling > Takt Time > Task Details > General.

How to Add a Holiday
- Navigate to Setup > Calendars and expand the calendar you want to add a holiday to.
- Click Add holiday. The Add holiday dialog appears.
- Enter a name for the holiday.
- Set the start date by clicking the calendar icon or entering the date manually.
- Set the finish date in the same way.
- Click Add. The holiday appears in the calendar.
Tip: To see holidays reflected in the schedule, go to Scheduling > Takt Time and enable Show Non-Workdays and Show Holidays. Tasks will pause during the holiday period, which appears grayed out.
How to Edit a Holiday
- Navigate to Setup > Calendars and expand the calendar containing the holiday.
- Click the edit icon next to the holiday you want to change.
- Update the name or dates and click Update. The schedule adjusts to reflect your changes.
How to Delete a Holiday
- Navigate to Setup > Calendars and expand the calendar containing the holiday.
- Click the delete icon next to the holiday.
- Confirm the deletion. The holiday is removed and the schedule updates accordingly.
