How to Copy Location Data to the Clipboard
- Navigate to Setup > Locations.
- Click the Export button in the toolbar.
- Select Copy to clipboard.
- Open Excel or Google Sheets and paste the data using Ctrl + V or right-click and choose Paste.
How to Download Location Data as a File
- Navigate to Setup > Locations.
- Click the Export button in the toolbar.
- Select Save to file. A CSV file is downloaded to your browser's default Downloads folder.
- Open or import the CSV file in Excel or Google Sheets to review your data.
How to Import Locations from the Clipboard
- Navigate to Setup > Locations and click the Export button, then select Copy to clipboard to copy your existing data as a starting point.
- Click the Import button. The import dialog opens.
- Paste your data into the dialog using Ctrl + V or click Click here to paste from clipboard.
- Click Raw data to compare the raw data with the data to be imported and verify it looks correct.
- Click Import to apply the data.
Data Validation for Location Imports
Before importing, Tactplan validates your data. The table below lists the fields that are validated, the types of values that are not accepted, and the error message you will see.

Tip: Use Raw data view in the import dialog to spot formatting or value issues before you confirm the import.
