Understanding Takeoff Items and Quantities
A Takeoff Item consists of more or more quantities values distributed to the location breakdown structure. The Takeoff Item stores the Name, Consumption rate (default), Unit, Location Precision and any Linked Tasks. To simplify the term Quantity is used as a substitute for Takeoff Item.
How to Add a Quantity
- Navigate to Setup > Quantities in the left-hand navigation.
- Click the Add quantity button in the toolbar. A new row appears at the bottom of the grid with the following defaults:
- Name: "New quantity"
- Consumption: 1
- Unit: (empty)
- Location Precision: Lowest location level where a location is defined
- Linked Tasks: (empty)
- Quantities: "0" for locations matching the location precision; empty for locations on lower levels
