Understanding Resources

Resources represent the labor teams or trade groups, such as carpenters, electricians, or crane operators, that are assigned to tasks in your schedule. It can also represent a nonlabor, such as machinery or equipment. You can add, edit, and delete resources in the Setup area of your schedule.

How to Add a Resource

1. Navigate to Setup > Resources in the left side panel.
2. Click the + (Add) button in the toolbar. The Add resource dialog appears.
3. Enter a Name for the resource. This field is required — the Add button stays disabled until a name is provided.
4. Enter a short Code to identify the resource quickly across the schedule.
5. Set the Capacity using the – and + controls to define how many units of this resource are available.
6. Select a Supplier from the dropdown list. If no suppliers have been added yet, the list will show None. You can add suppliers under Setup > Suppliers first, then return to add the resource.
7. Choose a Color to visually distinguish this resource on the schedule by clicking the color palette icon.

8. Click Add to create the resource.

   

How to Edit a Resource

1. Navigate to Setup > Resources.
2. Double-click the resource you want to update. The Edit resource dialog appears.
3. Update any of the fields — Name, Code, Capacity, Supplier, or Color.
4. Click Update to apply your changes.

How to Delete a Resource

You can delete a single resource or multiple resources at once.

To delete a single resource:

1. Navigate to Setup > Resources.
2. Right-click the resource you want to remove.
3. Select Delete from the context menu. The resource is removed immediately.

To delete multiple resources:

1. Navigate to Setup > Resources.
2. Select the resources you want to remove by clicking each row.
3. Click the Delete icon in the toolbar. The Delete resources dialog appears, showing a list of the resources about to be deleted.
4. Click Delete to confirm. All selected resources are removed.
